Educating children

Yamajamshi has organized a round table discussion on children’s education. The guests at this round table are Wahidullah Tokhi, Head of Programs, TDH Foundation and Wali Bayan, Head of Social Affairs, Ashiana Foundation.

Dear readers! As you know, education in Afghanistan has been badly affected by three decades of war, among other things, with five million young men and women still out of school, many of them girls, although the problem of schooling and education is still very high. Resolved However, the Ministry of Education complains about the lack of professional teachers and calls it a major problem. The number of students has reached millions since the beginning of the year. Twelve thousand seven hundred and forty two students and one hundred and sixty thousand students are studying in six hundred and twenty seven madrassas and other educational fields. Each class has 3 or 5 students. However, despite these difficulties, many students are eager to get an education, which should be given more attention to education as education is very beneficial for the development of a country. Enjoy a fair system.

Dear readers! And now let’s start with our questions about the education of children.

Question: Mr. Tokhi! What are the benefits of education?

A: Education is the key to all progress in society, and now that the world has progressed so much, it is a blessing of knowledge.

Question: Mr. Master! What does education mean?

A: Education is about knowledge, skills and abilities, and when we teach students what they have learned, and access to facts, and are capable of all kinds of mental and physical tasks, that is, literature and society, They learn about social behavior, the attitudes of the people around them, and so on in the process of education.

Question: Mr. Tokhi! What are the legal rights of children to education?

Answer: First of all I have to say that our society is an Islamic society and Islam has given many guidelines and recommendations regarding education and even made education obligatory for women and men, and also education is mentioned as compulsory and free in the constitution of the country. It is obliged to make efforts in the education of children, and one of the articles of the International Convention on the Rights of the Child, which Afghanistan signed in the year 2000, states that great care and efforts should be made in the field of education of children.

Question: Mr. Master! As you said, the government is obliged to provide education for the children. Have you ever done such a thing?

A: Yes, the government has provided some facilities in this regard and has printed and distributed books. But we should not consider only Kabul and the provincial capitals. ” “Because of the insecurity, the children of Lorepertosimo are still deprived of these facilities.” However, according to Article 7 of the Constitution, the state is obliged to provide education in educational institutions.

Question: Mr. Tokhi! Can you give me some information about Article 4 of the Education Law, which mentions compulsory education?

A: As I said, the constitution is derived from Islamic law, and education is compulsory. It is the duty of the Nodad government to encourage children to go to school and to invite them to education.

Question: Is it the duty or responsibility of the family, the government or the security agencies to prevent students from running away from school?
