A vaccine to neutralize the effects of heroin was developed
Researchers at the University of Montana in the United States are engaged in clinical trials of a vaccine against heroin and other drugs.

According to a report from Medical Express, these vaccines are meant to save people who are addicted to drugs or have accidentally overdosed.

According to the US National Institutes of Health, 6,000 people in the United States will die due to drug abuse or misuse in 2021 alone.

Of this number, 71,000 have died due to synthetic drugs such as fentanyl.

UM Medical Center researcher Dr. Jay Evans, who is working on the vaccine, is leading the study.

He says he expects to test his vaccines on humans in early 2024.

It is planned to target heroin as the primary vaccine, followed by clinical trials on fentanyl.

Dr. Evans hopes that after this, he will make a vaccine that will save people from the harmful effects of all drugs.

These vaccines are designed to produce antibodies in humans against opiate or addictive substances.
